I am a sometimes inconsistent blogger on whatever topic comes into my head. Usually involving observations of daily life that are so irritating (or amusing) that I am compelled to rant.

When I am not writing I am primarily a professional coach and consultant with extensive experience supporting mission-driven individuals and organizations to initiate, transform, and grow. My style can be best described as collaborative learning with concrete outcomes.

Among other things I facilitate workshops on topics such as White Fragility, Implicit Bias, Shared Leadership, Search Committee Training, The Mindful Career for Women, SafeZone and Beyond Tenure

No matter what I am doing –  facilitating, coaching or training – my work is defined by my dedication to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion.

In 2018 I wrote, provided voice over narration, and oversaw production of a Cultural Awareness video for new employees at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and in 2017 I was a screenwriter and consultant for the HERC Implicit Bias Search Committee Training videos. I enjoyed both projects immensely and would love to do more of that kind of writing and voice over work.

I am a Gestalt Professional Certified Coach, with additional training and credentials in a slew of topics including Woman in Leadership, 360-feedback assessment, Emotional Intelligence, Appreciative Inquiry, and Mindful Facilitation.

I am often involved at the launch of new programs and initiatives and was a founding member of the Ohio, Western Pennsylvania, West Virginia Higher Education Recruitment Consortium (HERC), the Ohio Diversity Officers Collaborative (2008), and the proud founder and artistic director of the nonprofit Red Hen Productions Feminist Theatre (Cleveland, 1995-2005).

I volunteer with national and local nonprofit and social justice organizations, although I have recently moved and am not currently affiliated with any organization.
