As a dynamic and respected professional coach and consultant, she helps individuals and organizations initiate, transform, and grow.
Amanda is a Gestalt Professional Certified Coach (GPCC) and is ACC certified through the International Coach Federation. Her training also includes a masters degree in Philosophy (summa cum laude), Women in Leadership, Negotiation, Mindful Facilitation, Emotional Intelligence, and Appreciative Inquiry. She is accredited to provide evaluation of leadership impact and emotional intelligence through a 360 feedback tool (ESCI), and of conflict management skills through Conflict Mode Instrument (TKI).
Amanda is also the Director of the Office of Faculty Development at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) in Cleveland, Ohio where she provides campus-wide faculty workshops, leadership coaching for department chairs and career coaching for faculty.
Since 2004 Amanda has developed and implemented campus-wide initiatives and programs to improve the climate for faculty at CWRU, and has a wealth of experience with dual-career hiring, work/life balance, and reducing implicit bias in faculty searches and promotion and tenure committees. Amanda was instrumental in the implementation and administration of two National Science Foundation ADVANCE awards and has written both NSF and foundation grants.
In her prior work in nonprofit management, Amanda founded Red Hen Productions Feminist Theatre and worked extensively with inner city underserved populations, including gang youth. Amanda continues to be active on the boards of nonprofit organizations and volunteers with racial justice initiatives in her community.
